Super Cruise Cancellation Policy

There will be no official makeup Cruise

Because Cruise setup has become so complicated, trying to reschedule after a cancellation and redoing it the next weekend and possibly a third time is not going to work. EDS has to deliver and pick up the trash containers full or empty, the police and fire departments have to plan and staff each time and the other several costs in money and effort are not just pushed forward, but mostly have to be paid again. Therefore, if a Cruise is cancelled for whatever reason, that's it for that month.

It takes a lot for a Cruise to be called off and we're proven to take a fair amount of wind and rain without whining. The weather changes quickly and with very few exceptions we've had a successful Cruise. One thing that has changed in our favor is the two covered garages downtown. Hide there when weather hits and you are concerned especially about hail. Let people know about this cover and be as orderly and efficient as panicked car people can be when running for safety.

P.S. There's nothing that says we can't come out and hang the next or any other weekend. In fact, sometimes a couple dozen cars show up and it's not as crowded with all the hoorah of an official Cruise. Just a thought.

Cancellation information will be posted here and on the InfoLine, (303) 968-7536, starting at
noon on Cruise day. If there's no cancellation message, then the Cruise will be held as scheduled.

We'll do a better job of keeping the InfoLine current during the day, but generally the decision is fairly obvious when things are too severe.

There are always rumors that the Super Cruise has been permanently cancelled. If it ever actually is, then it will be posted on this website.

Trash Detail

If you've ever driven down South Golden Road Sunday about 10:00 in the morning until 2:00 or so in the afternoon, you may have seen some people that look like they are on work release picking up trash. Those are your cleanup crew and they are all volunteers that can keep whatever they find. We have 20 containers and most are full or nearly so by the end of the Cruise. At most, two trash bags are partially full of stray trash. We just wanted you to know that what could be a colossal mess with several thousand spectators and participants everyplace is instead cleaner than you probably keep your own yard. Didn't say anything about the closet. We really appreciate it.

Please read about Golden's "Silence is Golden" program regarding loud exhaust in particular. This is a
mutual effort to keep citations and complaints down.

Cruisers with handicap parking permits should not stay in handicap parking spots for the whole cruise.
This takes parking away from other handicap customers. This has been brought up in private and at the merchant meetings. There will be warnings and then citations for those that abuse the privilege. Please remember, this is a law enforcement matter and not a personal one.

Dogs must be on leash. Dogs are part of our family and enjoy the Cruise too. If you are canine and
reading this, please contact the Cruise and we'll get you a talent manager. Otherwise, no matter how
well behaved a dog may be, they can react badly with the best intentions and the dog or someone else could get hurt. Golden has a leash law and owners of dogs not on leash may be cited. If necessary,
please muzzle them too.

Anyone with relevant products is welcome to set up at a Cruise at no cost, but please ask first
because we are running out of space. Also if you are selling, you'll need a Golden sales tax license.
